MS Office

For those who have never used the MS Office suite of software programs, prepare to be surprised by the ease with which you can begin working in any of the chosen programs. Microsoft has ensured that these programs are intuitive and flexible to meet the needs of nearly every user. Get started with the click of a button on your program of choice and soon you will be immersed in all the cool gadgets and features of this software platform.

Once MS Office is installed on your computer, simply head to the Start Menu and click on Programs. Here you will see a list of all the programs installed on your computer. Scroll down until you find MS Office or Microsoft Office. Once you highlight this selection, you will see a second list that contains all of your MS Office Programs. Depending on what group of programs you bought you will see different options available. All you need to do now is to click on the program you want to open.

When you first open an MS Office program, you will likely be greeted with a setup program that will help you set up some basic options for the program, such as the author name, company name, etc that will be used for each document unless you change it. While you may be itching to get started, take a moment to fill out the fields so that using the program is easier in the future.

Depending on what MS Office version and program you are using, you may also be greeted by your friendly neighborhood paperclip. This helpful guy will offer you tips and suggestions while you are using the program, and if you happen to get stuck you can just click on him and type in a question to get sorted out. If you decide you would rather go it alone then simply right-click on the paperclip and turn him off.

Most MS Office Programs come with templates, preformatted pages that allow you to input your information and have it come out in a nicely sorted manner. There are hundreds of templates available online, from resumes to invoices and complex PowerPoint slide formats for those important sales meetings. Jazz up a document, spreadsheet or presentation with a template, it will save you tons of time over doing the formatting yourself.

If at any time you are finding it difficult to accomplish what you want do not be afraid to use the help menu. In here you will find instructions on how to do just about anything, from the simple things like changing a file type to the more difficult such as importing and embedding files. Detailed instructions are available on all types of actions; you may want to just browse through here once in a while to learn some new skills.

MS Office and its programs are simple to use yet offer a wide variety of settings and features. The intuitive programming saves the user time as well as money.
